We are seeking a reliable and organized Mailroom Clerk to support the daily mail and courier operations within our professional law office. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely distribution and collection of mail, packages, and courier items while providing excellent customer service to staff throughout the office.
Key Responsibilities- Sort, process, and distribute incoming mail and packages to staff throughout the office.
- Pick up and deliver mail, packages, and other items from designated office pickup stations and work areas.
- Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments using courier services such as FedEx, Purolator, and United Messenger.
- Apply postage and process outgoing mail through Canada Post.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing courier and mail activity.
- Respond to staff inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure mailroom operations are carried out efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with other office services duties as required.
- Previous experience in a mailroom, office services, or similar environment is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional office environment.
- Position requires occasional physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and moving packages weighing up to 30 pounds.
