Travel Tripod - Phone Mount
The Travel Tripod Phone Mount from Peak Design is a versatile phone mount that can replace the phone mount for carbon and aluminum Travel Tripod models. It can fit phones up to 3.54" wide, including the iPhone 11 Pro Max. When not in use, the mount can be easily accessed by being hidden away in the Travel Tripod's center column. To release or stow the phone mount, simply pull and twist the G-hook located at the bottom. The mount is held inside by a magnet to ensure it doesn't fall out. Additionally, this lightweight tripod and phone mount combination can also function as a selfie stick.

Peak Design Travel Tripod Phone Mount — Phone-as-Webcam or B-Roll Camera, Mounted Properly
The gist: A clever $20 add-on that lets remote workers and content creators mount a smartphone on their existing Travel Tripod — turning a phone into a stable second camera angle for meetings, recordings, or B-roll without buying a dedicated phone tripod.
- Two-camera desk setup: Mount your mirrorless camera on the main head and the phone on the center column mount simultaneously — gives you a secondary angle for online course recordings or video calls without a second tripod cluttering the desk.
- Magnetic center column storage: The mount tucks away magnetically inside the tripod column when not needed, so your desk setup stays clean during non-recording work sessions.
- Fits large flagship phones: Spring clamp handles up to 3.54” width including the iPhone 11 Pro Max and most current Android flagships, with or without a case.
- Quick G-hook deploy: Pull and twist to have the phone mounted in under five seconds — fast enough to grab before an unscheduled video call.
Shotkit’s Peak Design mobile review confirms the spring-loaded mount stores in either direction for easy stowing and pops out immediately when the cap is released — no fumbling with thumb screws during a meeting.
Best for: Remote professionals and content creators who own the Peak Design Travel Tripod and want a clean, integrated phone mounting solution for their desk recording setup. Skip it if: You need a standalone phone mount — this only fits Peak Design’s own Travel Tripod models. Runs ~$20 — check the current price before buying.
