Editorial Policy
This site is run by Julian G., a web developer who has published udreamjob.com since 2019. This page describes how we research, write, and maintain the content here, so you know what to expect from us.
What we cover
- udreamjob.com: job searching, career strategy, interview preparation, and the changing shape of work.
Articles range from personal observations to researched explainers on visas, gear, tools, hiring trends, and policy.
How articles are produced
Our articles are researched and drafted with AI assistance, then reviewed and edited by Julian G. before publishing. No article is published without human review.
Concretely:
- We use AI tools to help with research synthesis, first-draft writing, and SEO optimization.
- A human editor (Julian) reads every post before it goes live, checks claims against sources, adjusts for accuracy and voice, and decides whether to publish.
- Where a post draws on personal experience, it says so explicitly ("I've used this tool for two years…"). Where it synthesizes external research, it cites sources in line.
- We do not publish posts that make first-person claims about lived experiences the author has not had.
We disclose this because we think transparency about how content is made matters — especially in a category (careers, visas, money) where trust is the only thing that counts.
Sources we rely on
- Government and intergovernmental sources (immigration agencies, labor statistics bureaus) for policy and legal claims
- Published industry reports for salary, hiring, and labor-market data
- Named experts and original reporting from established outlets for trend analysis
- Our own first-hand testing where applicable (with the post labeled as such)
When primary sources exist, we link to them. When we can't link to a primary source (paywalled report, internal data), we name the source in the text.
Affiliate disclosure
Some articles include links to products or services through affiliate partnerships — for example, FlexJobs, Going, Airalo, Hostinger, Domestika, and others. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Affiliate links are disclosed within the article that contains them.
- Affiliate relationships do not determine which products we recommend. We only link to services we believe are useful for our readers.
- Reviews and recommendations are written before affiliate relationships are checked, not the other way around.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, please email us at the address below.
- We correct factual errors as soon as they're verified.
- Substantive corrections (anything that changes a claim, recommendation, or number) are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the correction date.
- Typos, broken links, and stylistic edits are made silently.
