Total Rewards Manager Role - HR Leadership at CBC in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a mid-to-senior HR leadership role within a well-known multinational FMCG brand's local operations, offering meaningful exposure to Total Rewards strategy, HR transformation, and people analytics in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
Compensation & Market Positioning: No salary is disclosed, but Manager-level HR roles in Phnom Penh at multinationals typically range from $2,500–$5,000/month depending on company size. CBC's mention of "market-based competitive compensation" with merit reviews is a positive signal, though transparency would be preferred.
Skills developed in this role are in high demand:
- Total Rewards design and benchmarking (increasingly sought in SEA markets)
- HRIS implementation and HR digitization
- HR data analytics and metrics-driven decision-making
- Change management and HR transformation leadership
Green flags: Broad scope covering compensation, operations, and digitization; team leadership experience; association with a globally recognized brand; and exposure to HR technology transformation.
Watch-outs: The role covers a wide remit (rewards + operations + payroll + vendor management), which can indicate a lean HR team with stretched responsibilities. The phrase "fast-paced environment" is worth clarifying during interviews regarding team size and support resources.
For HR professionals targeting regional CHRO or Total Rewards Director roles in Southeast Asia, this position offers a strong stepping stone.
