Senior IT Business Analyst at Gildan - Career Growth in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This IT Business Analyst position at Gildan offers solid career fundamentals within a large, publicly traded, vertically integrated manufacturing company (NYSE/TSX dual-listed). At 5+ years of experience required, this is a mid-to-senior individual contributor role — not entry-level, but also not explicitly a management track.
Skills development: The role sharpens high-demand competencies including requirements gathering, workflow design, system improvement, and cross-functional stakeholder communication. These skills are broadly transferable across industries and increasingly valued as companies undergo digital transformation.
Compensation: No salary is disclosed. For a mid-senior IT BA role in the Caribbean/Latin American region at a global manufacturer, market rates typically range from $50,000–$85,000 USD annually depending on location and scope. Candidates should negotiate knowing the role supports enterprise-wide systems.
Culture signals:
- Green flag: Direct report to the Director of IT — good visibility and proximity to decision-makers.
- Green flag: Emphasis on ESG, diversity, and mentorship suggests a mature corporate culture.
- Neutral flag: "Attractive benefits packages" is vague — probe this in the interview for specifics on health coverage, PTO, and professional development budgets.
- Yellow flag: The role description is fairly traditional and process-heavy; candidates who want agile or product-centric BA work may find this more waterfall-oriented.
Overall, this is a stable, career-building role within a reputable global brand, best suited for professionals who want enterprise-scale impact in a structured environment.
