Senior D365 F&O Consultant Role | ERP Career Growth in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a senior-level ERP consulting role targeting professionals with 5–8 years of experience, making it well-suited for mid-to-senior consultants looking to deepen their Microsoft Dynamics specialization or transition into enterprise transformation leadership.
Compensation benchmarks: The posting lists no salary, but D365 F&O Functional Consultants in Canada with this experience level typically command CAD 95,000–130,000 annually in full-time roles, or CAD 100–140/hour as contractors. The broad experience range (5–8 years) suggests flexibility on seniority and budget.
Skills you'll develop:
- Deep expertise in D365 Finance and Supply Chain modules — highly transferable across industries.
- End-to-end ERP delivery: requirements gathering, FDDs, UAT, go-live support.
- Cross-functional collaboration with architects, developers, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Agile/Scrum delivery in enterprise ERP contexts — increasingly in demand.
Market demand: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications and hands-on delivery experience are among the most in-demand ERP skills globally, with strong demand across finance, manufacturing, and retail sectors. This role builds a portfolio that transfers internationally.
Green flags: The scope covers implementation, configuration, and optimization — offering variety beyond a pure support role. The mention of ERP transformation initiatives signals the company is actively investing in modernization.
Watch for: No mention of team size, company name, or growth stage. Clarify whether this is a consulting firm (client-facing projects) or an internal enterprise role — each has very different career trajectories.
