Career & Market Insight

This is a mid-to-senior UI/UX Designer role (5+ years required) at ClearlyAgile, a growing Agile consultancy in the Tampa Bay area. The hybrid skill set — design tools and HTML5/CSS3/Angular — positions you as a "unicorn" designer-developer, which is increasingly valued in the market.

Compensation: No salary range is disclosed. For a senior UI/UX Designer in Tampa, FL, market rates typically range from $80,000–$115,000 annually based on 2024 benchmarks. ClearlyAgile describes their plans as "very competitive," but candidates should negotiate accordingly and request a range upfront.

Skills you'll build:

  • Agile/Scrum design workflow — highly transferable to most tech teams
  • Angular front-end modification — bridges the design-dev gap and increases your market value
  • Multi-client project experience — breadth that a single-product company can't offer
  • Azure DevOps and Git — practical DevOps-adjacent exposure for designers

Green flags: Unlimited PTO, employee ownership (profit-sharing signal), paid certifications, and a strong Agile culture are meaningful perks. Being at a fast-growing consultancy means exposure to diverse industries and technologies.

Potential caution: Consultancy roles can involve context-switching between clients frequently, which may feel unstable for those who prefer deep, focused product work. The lack of a disclosed salary range is a minor red flag for transparency. Overall, this is a solid opportunity for a UI/UX professional looking to broaden their technical skills and grow within an Agile-native environment.

Join a team of professionals who are passionate about their work, love cross-training and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. We care about our developers by fostering an environment in which they can thrive by providing them the tools and training necessary to get the job done. We are looking for serious UI/UX Designers to ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design. You will be working in a highly open and collaborative environment following a Scrum methodology. Our team is a place where we encourage self-starters, and everyone's ideas are heard and valued!

What you'll be doing is working on various client-facing and internal-facing projects. Every client has different needs that often require the adoption of new technologies and methods. Job duties include:

  • Delivering the best online user experience
  • Creating wireframes and prototypes
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

  • Modifying existing Angular apps
  • Providing recommendations and evaluations for new designs and architecture
  • Staying current on new technologies and best practices
  • Working in technologies in which you are unfamiliar and learning it as you go

What we're looking for is someone who is open to new ideas and willing to learn. This position focuses on designing and developing solutions for our new and existing projects. A candidate can be successful in this position if they exhibit:

  • Experience with various design tools like Adobe XD, Adobe CC Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.), Visual Studio Code, Git, Azure DevOps
  • HTML5 and CSS3 skills with the ability to translate designs to developers
  • Ability to solve complex problems without assistance
