Group Account Supervisor – Pharma Agency | $139K in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a senior individual contributor + people manager hybrid role at a pharma-focused healthcare communications agency. At 7+ years required experience, it sits at the mid-to-upper management tier, making it a strong stepping stone toward VP or Managing Director positions.
Compensation context: The $100K–$139K range is competitive for a Group Account Supervisor in pharma advertising, though it trails top-market rates in NYC or San Francisco (where comparable roles often reach $145K–$165K). The Boston/remote positioning partially explains the moderate ceiling. The discretionary bonus adds meaningful upside.
Skills you'll develop:
- Senior pharma client relationship management — highly transferable to biotech, medical devices, and health tech sectors
- P&L oversight and agency financial management — a skill set that differentiates account leaders in the marketplace
- Cross-functional team leadership across account, creative, and project management disciplines
- Disease-state and therapeutic area expertise — a career-long asset in life sciences communications
Culture signals: The "wecentricity" language and emphasis on collaboration over ego suggest a team-oriented, mid-size agency culture. The global team composition points to exposure beyond US markets.
Green flags: Clear career ladder, people management responsibilities, and meaningful healthcare impact. Watch for: The preference for Boston local suggests the remote policy may evolve; confirm hybrid expectations before accepting.
