Career & Market Insight

Career Positioning: This is a mid-level manager role (Associate Manager) at a well-known consumer tech company — ideal for someone with 5–6 years of influencer/creator experience ready to step into ownership of a full program, not just execution. Reporting to a Senior Manager signals a clear upward path toward Senior Manager or Director of Influencer Marketing.

Compensation vs. Market: The $86K–$109.5K base range is competitive but on the conservative end for influencer marketing manager roles at major tech/consumer brands in high-cost states (CA/NY market rates for similar roles often reach $110K–$130K+). The equity grants are meaningful upside, especially if Instacart pursues future liquidity events.

Skills You'll Build:

  • End-to-end creator program ownership — a highly transferable, in-demand skill as brands double down on creator economies
  • Cross-functional marketing leadership (Brand, CPG Co-Marketing, Legal, Product)
  • Creator budget ownership and performance measurement — valuable for future Director-level roles
  • Platform expertise across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts — the most commercially active social channels

Culture Signals: Instacart is a post-IPO, scaled tech company (~$3B+ revenue). Expect structured processes, defined KPIs, and cross-functional bureaucracy — less startup chaos, more enterprise rigor. The food-forward, culturally aware brand voice suggests a creative team culture.

Green Flags: Clear 12-month success criteria, autonomous scope, and cross-functional visibility are strong indicators of meaningful career development. Watch for: the role's influence may be constrained by a Senior Manager above and broad stakeholder demands, which can limit creative autonomy.
