Senior Account Manager - AI Data Center Sales at TE in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a senior-level enterprise account management role at TE Connectivity, a Fortune 500 global industrial technology company (NYSE: TEL). The position sits within the high-growth Data & Device business unit, serving a top-tier enterprise account — likely a major cloud or hyperscaler customer given the focus on cloud architecture, AI data centers, and interconnects.
Compensation analysis: The $167k–$209k base salary is competitive for a senior account manager in the Bay Area tech sector, though total compensation (base + incentives + benefits) can push this significantly higher. Market benchmarks for enterprise tech AMs at this level in Silicon Valley typically range from $150k–$230k base, placing this offer at or slightly above midpoint.
Skills you'll develop:
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI data center hardware, interconnects, and optical/copper cabling — all in extremely high demand as AI buildouts accelerate.
- Strategic enterprise account management, design-win selling, and executive stakeholder engagement.
- Cross-functional coordination across global teams (US, Asia), valuable for senior sales leadership paths.
Green flags: Direct visibility to a Global Account Manager, work with a top enterprise account, and TE's established global brand provide strong career credibility. The AI/data center connectivity market is booming, giving this role significant upward trajectory.
Considerations: The role requires frequent local travel and is tied to one marquee account, so career growth depends on that account's health. Advancement likely leads to a Global Account Manager or Director-level role.
At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
