Career & Market Insight

This is a senior individual contributor and function-building role — a relatively rare hybrid that offers both operational leadership and the opportunity to architect a new escalation management practice from the ground up within a scaled SaaS company. For the right candidate, this is a career accelerator.

Compensation: No salary is listed, but Escalation Manager roles at mature SaaS companies with 8+ years of experience typically range from $110,000–$160,000 USD annually in the US market. PointClickCare's Canadian headquarters may mean a lower band if the role is pegged to Canadian rates (CAD $100,000–$140,000). Confirm the currency and benchmark carefully during negotiations.

Skills developed in this role:

  • Executive-level stakeholder communication and crisis management
  • Cross-functional program management (Engineering, Product, CS, Support)
  • Data-driven incident analysis and process design in a SaaS environment
  • Healthcare IT domain expertise — a high-value, niche vertical

Green flags: Founder-led, privately held company with strong R&D investment; Forbes-recognized; meaningful market position (30,000+ provider organizations). Building a function from scratch provides high visibility and resume-defining impact.

Watch for: No salary range is disclosed, which is increasingly a yellow flag. The role requires 8+ years of experience but is not titled "Director" — ensure the scope and title align with your career progression goals. Also clarify whether the role is anchored to US or Canadian compensation bands before applying.
