Career & Market Insight

This is a senior-level healthcare consulting role at Qualtrics (via their Press Ganey division), targeting professionals with 10+ years of experience in patient safety and High Reliability Organization (HRO) frameworks. The compensation range of $126K–$153K base plus RSUs and sign-on bonus is competitive for senior healthcare consultants—industry benchmarks for similar roles at large consulting firms (Huron, Chartis, Sg2) typically run $120K–$165K at this experience level, placing Qualtrics at the mid-to-upper range.

Career development signals:

  • Direct exposure to C-suite health system leaders accelerates executive stakeholder management skills—a high-value, transferable capability.
  • The cross-industry HRO team (aviation, military, nuclear) offers rare intellectual diversity uncommon in pure healthcare consulting practices.
  • Collaboration on Press Ganey methodology development means you actively shape industry-standard safety frameworks, building thought leadership credentials.

Green flags: 100% employer-paid healthcare premiums, personalized career action planning, explicit investment in analytical skill development, and a small ~20-person team where your contributions are visible.

Red flags to consider: The 50–75% travel requirement is demanding and can lead to burnout over time. Candidates should clarify whether travel is domestic-only or involves frequent international trips, and how team tenure/retention looks at this level. The role is also narrowly specialized—depth in HRO/patient safety is valuable but limits lateral mobility outside healthcare.
