Career & Market Insight

Compensation & Market Benchmarks: The $200k–$220k OTE (60/40 split) is competitive but not exceptional for a Sales Manager role at a B2B SaaS company. Industry data suggests NA SaaS Sales Manager OTEs typically range $180k–$260k depending on company stage and ACV. CoderPad's range sits at the mid-market level, with upside accelerators that could push total earnings higher.

Skills You'll Build: This role develops high-demand capabilities:

  • MEDDPICC sales methodology — a gold-standard enterprise qualification framework increasingly required by top SaaS companies
  • ABM (Account-Based Marketing) strategy execution in partnership with marketing leadership
  • Enterprise pipeline management using Salesforce, Apollo, and HubSpot
  • First-line sales leadership and team-building in a distributed environment

Company & Culture Signals: CoderPad has 3,800+ customers and was founded in 2013 — it's past early startup chaos but likely still in a growth phase. The VP-level partnership structure and focus on "operationalizing" ABM motions suggest a maturing GTM org. Green flags include generous parental leave, unlimited PTO with real minimums, and a stated DEI commitment.

Career Trajectory: With 1–2 years management experience required, this is a role for an emerging leader ready to step into a formalized management track. Success here could position you for a Director of Sales or VP of Sales role within 3–5 years, especially given CoderPad's global footprint.

Watch for: The role requires candidates to already hold permanent work authorization — no sponsorship is available, which narrows the applicant pool and may increase your competitiveness if you're already US-based.

CoderPad's mission is to create a more inclusive and strong tech community.

How? By improving the technical interviewing experience with tools that allow for standardization and consistency, while reducing bias and increasing equality of opportunity.
