Senior Salesforce Dev Role - Apex, LWC & Integrations in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a senior-level, technically demanding role placed via Proxify, a Swedish talent network that matches developers with long-term remote contracts at global companies. The contractor model means you get stability (monthly pay, predictable hours) without a traditional employment relationship.
Compensation context: No salary is listed, which is common for Proxify postings. Senior Salesforce Developers with PD1/PD2 certifications typically earn $100,000–$160,000 USD annually on the open market (US rates); European contractors via platforms like Proxify often see €70,000–€110,000/year depending on client and experience.
Skills you'll develop and deepen:
- Enterprise Apex architecture patterns (Trigger Frameworks, Service/Selector/Domain layers) — highly transferable across large Salesforce orgs.
- Modern CI/CD for Salesforce (Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions) — increasingly required at enterprise clients.
- Cross-platform integrations with SAP, HubSpot, BigQuery — broadens your value beyond pure CRM work.
Green flags: Proxify's vetting is rigorous, meaning placement signals strong peer recognition. Long-term contracts offer stability. The 24 flex days and consistent hours suggest genuine respect for work-life balance.
Watch-outs: As a contractor, you likely won't receive equity, traditional benefits, or career laddering. The strict CET timezone requirement narrows flexibility over time. Salesforce certifications (PD1/PD2) are listed as "highly preferred" — investing in them before applying is strongly recommended.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Salesforce CRM Developer on behalf of our client to lead the custom development, integration, and optimization of enterprise Salesforce instances. In this role, you will take technical ownership of scalable CRM architectures—engineering custom Apex backend logic, building modern Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrating Salesforce with external ERPs, marketing automation platforms, and data warehouses.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on development experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, with expert-level proficiency in Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs, queueables) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Advanced knowledge of SOQL and SOSL, with a proven ability to design scalable data models (custom objects, junction objects, big objects) while optimizing queries to prevent governor limit exceptions in high-volume environments.
- Extensive experience building, consuming, and securing external web services using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, OAuth2 authorization flows, and platform event integration (Pub/Sub API, MuleSoft).
- Strong mastery of enterprise design patterns in Apex (Trigger Frameworks, Service Layer, Selector Layer, Domain Layer) and declarative vs. programmatic trade-off analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI, source-driven development (SFDX), Git workflows, unit testing enforcing >85% code coverage, and CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions).
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II (PD1 / PD2) certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Located in CET timezone (+/- 3 hours) — applications from candidates in other time zones cannot be considered.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, OmniStudio (Vlocity), or Experience Cloud implementations.
- Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Data Architecture & Management Designer or Integration Architecture Designer.
- Exposure to Data Cloud (CDP), CRM Analytics (Tableau CRM/Einstein Analytics), or AI features (Agentforce/Einstein 1).
- Background in migrating legacy Visualforce pages and Aura components to modern LWC.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain high-quality Apex code, custom LWC user interfaces, and asynchronous backend processing frameworks.
- Architect and build secure, bidirectional integrations between Salesforce and third-party enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, HubSpot, BigQuery) using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Profile execution logs, optimize complex trigger handlers, and refactor inefficient legacy code to guarantee rapid page loads and bulk data processing stability.
- Manage source-driven deployments using Salesforce CLI and Git-based CI/CD pipelines, ensuring safe environment sandbox management and release predictability.
- Partner with Salesforce Architects, Business Analysts, and product owners to translate enterprise business needs into robust, scalable technical blueprints.
What We Offer
- Get paid, not played: No more unreliable clients. Enjoy on-time monthly payments with flexible withdrawal options.
- Predictable project hours: Harmonious work-life balance with consistent 8-hour working days with clients.
