Career & Market Insight

Role Overview & Career Fit: This is an entry-to-mid-level administrative healthcare role focused on EHR documentation within a Behavioral Health Integration program. It's well-suited for candidates looking to build a foundation in healthcare administration, medical records, or care coordination — particularly in the growing behavioral health space.

Skills You'll Develop:

  • Deep familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW), one of the most widely used EHR platforms — a marketable, transferable skill.
  • Knowledge of BHI documentation standards, PHQ-9/GAD-7 screenings, and care plan management.
  • HIPAA compliance and medical records management — foundational credentials for any healthcare career path.
  • Experience with Medicare/Medicaid documentation, which is valuable for billing, compliance, and care management roles.

Compensation & Market Context: No salary is listed, which is a mild red flag for transparency. Similar US remote healthcare admin roles typically pay $16–$22/hour (~$33k–$46k annually). This is on the lower end of the healthcare sector but reasonable for an entry-level remote role.

Green Flags: The role is fully remote, offers exposure to a specialized and growing field (behavioral health integration), and requires independent work — good for self-starters. The company serves FQHCs and primary care clinics, providing meaningful healthcare impact.

Yellow Flags: No mention of advancement paths, training programs, or benefits. The Arizona Fingerprint Clearance requirement is unusual for a fully remote role and may limit the candidate pool. Career-minded applicants should clarify growth opportunities during interviews.
