Technical Recruiter Life Sciences APAC - CAI in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a one-year contract position, which is an important consideration for career planning. It offers strong portfolio value in a specialized niche — recruiting for life sciences and mission-critical data center infrastructure in the APAC market — but lacks the job security of a permanent role.
Compensation analysis: The $55K–$75K USD range is below U.S. market benchmarks for APAC technical recruiters (typically $80K–$110K+ base), suggesting either a contract rate adjustment, geographic pay scaling, or a junior-to-mid positioning. Negotiate toward the top of the range if you have validated APAC biotech recruiting experience.
Skills you'll develop:
- Full-cycle technical recruiting in specialized life sciences and mission-critical sectors — among the most in-demand recruiting niches globally
- APAC regional market intelligence and cross-border talent sourcing
- Proficiency with Lever ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter at scale
- Stakeholder management in a matrixed, global professional services environment
Green flags: CAI is a stable, 30-year-old company with ~750 employees and consistent growth. The role exposes you to two rapidly expanding sectors (biotech manufacturing and data center infrastructure), making your skills highly transferable. APAC biotech hiring expertise is genuinely scarce and valuable.
Red flags: The one-year contract nature means no long-term stability, and the salary range is on the lower end for a specialist technical recruiter with 3–7+ years of experience. Ensure clarity on contract renewal possibilities and whether benefits are included before accepting.
