C&B Manager Role at Growing Cambodia Conglomerate in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a mid-to-senior level HR specialist role at a large, multi-sector Cambodian conglomerate with 800+ employees across retail, F&B, manufacturing, and tech. It offers meaningful scope — designing and owning compensation frameworks across diverse business units is a strong portfolio-builder.
Career development value:
- Rare opportunity to own end-to-end C&B strategy in a fast-growing Southeast Asian market
- Cross-sector exposure (retail, tech, manufacturing) accelerates benchmarking and analytical skills
- Direct collaboration with business leaders and finance builds strategic HR credibility
- Skills in HRIS, job architecture, and market benchmarking are globally transferable and in high demand
Compensation context: No salary is disclosed. Market rates for a C&B Manager in Phnom Penh typically range from $1,500–$3,500/month depending on experience, which is competitive locally but modest by regional standards (Singapore, Bangkok). Candidates should negotiate based on the breadth of sectors managed.
Green flags: The company's scale (800+ staff, multi-sector) means real complexity to manage — this is not a one-person startup HR role. The emphasis on compliance with Cambodian labor law also signals a professionally run HR function.
Watch for: The role is entirely on-site with no flexibility mentioned, and no PTO or benefits are disclosed. Candidates should clarify compensation structure, team size, and reporting lines during interviews. Growth trajectory within the HR leadership team is worth probing.
