Marketing Ops Manager at Mozilla - ASO & AI Workflows in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This role sits at the intersection of marketing operations, mobile growth, and AI-driven workflow automation — a combination that is increasingly in demand as companies scale their growth marketing functions. For a mid-senior professional with 5+ years in marketing ops, this is a strong career accelerator.
Compensation context: At CAD $70,000–$93,000 (Tier 1), the range is competitive for a marketing operations manager in Canada, particularly in cities like Toronto or Vancouver. However, it sits slightly below U.S. market equivalents for similar seniority at a tech company, which typically range from USD $90,000–$130,000. The non-profit backing may explain the more modest ceiling.
Skills you'll develop:
- App Store Optimization (ASO) — a niche but high-value mobile growth skill
- AI-assisted workflow design using Claude Code and similar tools — highly transferable and future-proof
- Cross-functional program management at scale (product launches, lifecycle campaigns)
- Data synthesis and experiment reporting — bridges ops and analytics
Green flags: Mozilla's mission-driven culture, 100% immediate vesting on retirement contributions, and the explicit emphasis on automation and AI adoption signal a forward-thinking team. The "Ship, learn, repeat" value suggests a low-bureaucracy, execution-focused environment.
Watch for: The role is operationally oriented rather than strategic — ideal for someone who excels at execution and process-building, but less suited to those seeking P&L ownership or senior strategy work in the near term.
