Enterprise AE – Internal Audit AI | Career Growth SaaS in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a high-ceiling enterprise sales role at an early-stage, well-funded SaaS startup (backed by Goldman Sachs, Bessemer, Y Combinator). For career-minded professionals, the opportunity to join at this stage means significant equity upside and the chance to shape a sales motion from the ground up — a résumé differentiator that pure enterprise-at-scale roles rarely provide.

Skills this role builds:
- MEDDICC methodology mastery — one of the most transferable and valued enterprise sales frameworks.
- Complex multi-stakeholder deal navigation (C-suite through practitioner level).
- Domain expertise in Internal Audit, GRC, and AI-powered workflow automation — a fast-growing niche.
- Consultative selling skills in a category-creation context (Internal Audit AI is nascent).
Green flags: Remote-first culture, top-tier investor backing, clear values framework, cross-functional collaboration emphasis, and a product solving a real productivity problem (50% workload reduction claim).
Watch for: No explicit mention of ramp periods or quota relief, and 30% travel is meaningful. Early-stage startups can shift ICP and territory assignments — adaptability is essential. Best suited for an AE ready to build, not just execute a mature playbook.
