Senior Content Designer – Agency Role, Path to FT in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Contract-to-full-time pathway is a notable feature here — Fueled explicitly states that strong contractors may be invited to transition to full-time roles. This is a real career lever, but it's worth going in with clear expectations: there's no guaranteed timeline or conversion rate.
Skill development: Working across dozens of high-profile client engagements (Google, Apple, NYT-tier clients) accelerates portfolio growth rapidly. Skills built here — content modeling, IA, CMS architecture, voice & tone systems — are among the most in-demand in UX and product design right now, especially as AI-driven products require more structured content thinking.
Market compensation context: No rate is published. For a Senior Content Designer / UX Writer contractor in North America, market rates typically range from $75–$130/hr depending on location and experience. Agency contractors often land in the $85–$110/hr range. Clarify rate early — "geographic location" is cited as a factor, which may mean lower rates for LATAM-based applicants.
- Green flag: "Everyone gets a response" — rare and signals a respectful hiring culture.
- Green flag: Exposure to enterprise-scale clients builds a strong portfolio quickly.
- Yellow flag: Multi-client agency pace can be demanding — "fast-paced, multi-client settings" signals high context-switching.
- Yellow flag: Contract-only entry with no guaranteed path to full-time may not suit those seeking stability.
Overall, this is a strong opportunity for a senior-level content designer looking to diversify their portfolio and potentially land a full-time role at a well-regarded agency.
