Career & Market Insight

This is a senior individual-contributor-turned-people-manager role at the intersection of recruiting operations, systems ownership, and HR strategy — a rare combination that commands premium market value.

Compensation context: No salary is listed, but Senior Manager TA roles at US IT consulting/GovCon firms typically range $120,000–$155,000 annually, with some larger firms reaching $170k. If Arlo is a smaller consultancy (which their profile suggests), expect the lower-to-mid end of that band.

Skills this role builds:

  • GovCon recruiting operations — a niche with very high demand and limited talent supply
  • ATS administration (Greenhouse) — transferable to any mid-to-large organization
  • KPI/SLA framework design — valued in HR Ops and People Analytics roles
  • EEO/OFCCP compliance — a specialized, defensible credential in regulated industries
  • Recruiting automation and AI tooling — increasingly critical as TA functions modernize

Green flags: The role has genuine strategic scope (partnering with Director of HR, owning the systems roadmap), not just execution ownership. Remote-first with distributed team management experience is highly portable.

Watch for: No mention of team size, budget ownership, or growth trajectory for the company. For a 10+ year TA professional, confirm this is a step up in scope rather than a lateral move before investing in the process.
