Website Designer at Cloudbeds – SaaS Career Growth in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Role Positioning: This is an entry-to-mid-level role sitting at the intersection of web design, customer success, and project management. It's well-suited for someone building a versatile professional profile in the SaaS/hospitality tech space, not just a pure design role.
Skills You'll Develop:
- CMS-based web design (WordPress, Duda, Drupal) — highly marketable and transferable skills
- Client-facing communication and professional services delivery
- Project management across multiple concurrent accounts — valuable for senior roles
- Hospitality technology domain expertise — a niche but growing sector
Compensation: No salary is listed. For a bilingual (English/Spanish) website designer with customer success responsibilities at a global SaaS company, market rates in LATAM typically range from $18,000–$35,000 USD annually depending on country. In North America or Europe, equivalent roles typically command $45,000–$65,000. Candidates should negotiate based on scope — this role combines design and account management, which typically commands a premium over pure design roles.
Green Flags: Cloudbeds is a well-funded, award-winning company with 650+ employees and strong growth signals (Deloitte Fast 500). The remote-first culture, paid parental leave, and internal learning platform (Cloudbeds University) suggest genuine investment in employees.
Watch Out For: The fixed UTC hours and high multi-tasking expectations (multiple deadline-driven accounts) suggest a fast-paced environment. The role requires both design skills and customer-facing work — make sure you enjoy both, as neither is secondary.
