Career & Market Insight

Role Positioning: Despite the title "Technical Lead," this role is fundamentally a Senior Product Manager / Principal PM with consulting responsibilities. It blends client advisory work, product strategy, and team leadership — a rare combination that accelerates career growth across both product and consulting tracks.

Skills You'll Build:

  • Executive stakeholder management and C-suite communication
  • End-to-end product lifecycle ownership (0-to-1 and beyond)
  • Agile methodology leadership with distributed teams
  • Cross-functional team alignment across Engineering, Design, and Delivery
  • Mentorship of junior PMs — a critical differentiator at senior levels

Market Demand: Senior PMs with consulting experience are highly sought after. This profile commands $120K–$180K+ annually in the US market; LATAM-based roles at international companies like Monks typically offer competitive regional rates but may be adjusted for local markets — no salary is disclosed here, which is a mild red flag worth clarifying.

Company Signals: Monks (S4Capital) is a large, global digital agency with strong industry recognition (Gartner Magic Quadrant, Cannes Lions). This is not a scrappy startup — expect process, scale, and diverse client exposure rather than greenfield autonomy. The emphasis on AI and innovation suggests forward-thinking leadership.

Green Flags: Fully remote, culture of experimentation, mentorship opportunities, globally distributed teams. Watch for: Agency environments can involve client-driven scope changes and compressed timelines — ideal for resilient PMs who thrive under ambiguity.

Please note: We will never request payment or bank account information at any stage of the recruitment process. As we continue to grow our teams, we urge you to be cautious of fraudulent job postings or recruitment activities that misuse our company name and information. Please protect your personal information during any recruitment process. While Monks may contact potential candidates via LinkedIn, all applications must be submitted through our official website (monks.com/careers).

As a Technical Lead (Hands-On), you will identify and solve complex problems using your deep experience in product management. You will lead cross-functional teams to define and develop product strategies that align with market opportunities, delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs and support our core business goals. You will also be responsible for steering the product's overall strategy to ensure alignment with a long-term vision that promotes future growth.

This is a fully remote position that can be done from anywhere in Latin America, with occasional travel expected.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting & Trusted Advising: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions. Conduct comprehensive market, business, and user research to identify opportunities and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proactively manage risk by developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address challenges effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop trusted relationships across all levels, maintaining a clear understanding of stakeholder priorities. Drive alignment by surfacing conflicting needs early, brokering trade-offs, and securing commitment to a shared direction. Adapt your communication style to deliver precise, decision-ready updates. Manage adoption continuously from discovery to post-launch, proactively addressing resistance. Negotiate and influence effectively by navigating competing agendas and scope pressure with tact.
  • Product Delivery: Define and articulate the long-term product vision, driving roadmap initiatives that reflect market trends and user feedback. Promote cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, and Delivery teams to ensure successful development and alignment. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch and adoption, prioritizing features and managing trade-offs within budget. Establish a metrics-driven approach with KPIs to measure success and drive iterative enhancements. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and agile methodologies.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Act as a thought leader by staying up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to foster the professional growth of associate and mid-level Product Managers. Continuously evaluate and improve Foundry processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance team efficiency and outcomes. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-pollination of ideas within the Product Foundry. Evangelize a strong product culture by promoting values like customer-centricity, agility, and experimentation.
