Career & Market Insight

This is a mid-to-senior level QS role on a named commercial hotel project, which offers strong portfolio value — hospitality construction is a competitive niche in India's booming infrastructure sector. Working on a landmark project like a Daspalla hotel can be a meaningful credential.

Skills developed in this role are highly transferable and in demand across GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar), Southeast Asia, and the UK construction market — all of which actively recruit Indian QS professionals:

  • BOQ preparation and rate analysis for complex commercial builds
  • Subcontractor and client billing management
  • Material reconciliation and cost forecasting
  • Variation order handling and commercial negotiations

Compensation context: No salary is disclosed. For a 5+ year QS Engineer in Andhra Pradesh, market rates typically range from ₹5–10 LPA depending on employer type. GCC-based roles for equivalent profiles can command 3–5x more. This role could serve as a stepping stone to international QS careers.

Green flags: Clearly scoped responsibilities, exposure to multi-discipline coordination (civil, MEP, structural), and involvement in a full project lifecycle from estimation to billing.

Watch for: No mention of PTO, benefits, or salary — negotiate carefully. Site-based roles can involve long hours, especially near project milestones.
