Senior AEM Architect Role at Vonage - Lead Enterprise CMS in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a senior individual contributor / technical lead role at Vonage, a Ericsson-owned global cloud communications company with major enterprise clients. The title "AEM & Adobe Target Architect" sits at the intersection of enterprise CMS engineering and digital marketing technology — a relatively niche but high-demand specialization.
Compensation Context: No salary is listed, but AEM Architects with 10+ years experience typically command $150,000–$200,000+ USD annually in the US market. Vonage's global remote policy may mean compensation is geo-adjusted depending on your location.
Skills You'll Develop & Leverage:
- Deep AEM Cloud Service and AEM 6.5 architecture — highly sought after in enterprise digital marketing
- Adobe Experience Cloud integrations (Target, Analytics, CJA, Launch) — a growing market
- A/B testing and experimentation strategy using Adobe Target + 6sense segmentation
- Enterprise-level Java/OSGi/Sling backend engineering
- Cross-functional stakeholder management at executive level
Green Flags: Vonage's diverse, inclusive culture signal and the "no perfect candidate" statement suggest a healthy hiring mindset. Working with marquee clients (Airbnb, WhatsApp) adds strong resume value.
Watch-outs: The requirement list is extensive (10+ years AEM, 5+ years leading teams, full Adobe suite, SPA frameworks, cloud architecture). This is a demanding senior role. The absence of salary transparency and explicit PTO/benefits details warrants direct questions during the interview process. Confirm team size and reporting structure early.
