Identity Consultant – KYC/AML Career at Jumio in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Career Trajectory: This role sits at the intersection of fraud/identity consulting, enterprise SaaS, and compliance — a high-demand niche. Identity verification and eKYC are rapidly growing sectors driven by global AML regulation tightening, making skills gained here highly transferable to fintechs, banks, and regtech firms.
Compensation Context: The stated minimum of €80,000 EUR gross for a full-time 38.5hr/week role in Austria is competitive for a mid-senior consultant level, roughly aligned with Austrian market rates for senior tech consulting (typically €70k–€100k). However, UK equivalents for this seniority in identity/fraud consulting often range £70k–£95k — so UK-based candidates should probe the overpayment clause carefully.
Skills You'll Build:
- Deep expertise in KYC/AML workflows and fraud risk strategy — highly valued by financial regulators and enterprise clients
- Enterprise customer lifecycle management (pre-sales through expansion)
- Cross-functional coordination across Product, Engineering, and Legal/Compliance
- API/SaaS implementation consulting — a transferable technical skill set
Green Flags: Jumio is a well-established identity verification leader with global enterprise clients — solid brand name for a CV. The role has genuine strategic scope, not just execution work.
Watch-outs: The salary is stated as a minimum with unspecified upside, and benefits beyond salary are notably absent from the posting. The role spans pre-sales, onboarding, AND expansion simultaneously — a broad remit that could mean high workload without clear specialization paths.
Headquarters: Austria (remote); UK (remote)
