Career & Market Insight

This is a senior leadership role with direct Board-level visibility, reporting to the Global Chief Compliance Officer. For compliance professionals, this is a rare opportunity to own an entire consumer compliance function at a publicly traded crypto-fintech company — a genuinely differentiated credential in the market.

Compensation benchmarking: The $150,500–$215,000 base is competitive for a Head of Compliance at a fintech, though top-tier banks may pay slightly more at the VP/MD level. The equity component is the real upside differentiator at a publicly traded crypto company with growth ambitions.

Skills this role develops:

  • Deep mastery of US consumer financial regulations (UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA) applied to novel crypto-lending products
  • Executive stakeholder management — Board reporting, bank partner liaison, regulatory exam response
  • Compliance program architecture for a scaling fintech
  • Fair Lending Officer designation — a formal, career-defining credential

Green flags: Board-level access, high visibility, crypto-native company with a mature compliance culture, and a well-defined scope covering both credit cards and lending products.

Potential red flags: The crypto regulatory environment remains volatile in the US. The intersection of sponsor bank relationships and crypto adds regulatory complexity. Candidates should be comfortable with ambiguity and rapid regulatory change. The 10+ year experience bar and CRCM/JD preference signal this is genuinely a senior hire, not an inflated title for a mid-level role.

Headquarters: New York, New York; Miami, Florida; Remote (USA)
