Career & Market Insight

This is a senior general management role with full P&L ownership — a meaningful career milestone for healthcare operations leaders. The $156,000–$178,000 total cash (base + 20% bonus) is competitive but not exceptional for a multi-state GM role in healthcare; comparable regional GM positions at mid-size health services companies typically range from $160,000–$220,000 total comp, suggesting modest room for negotiation.

Green flags for career growth:

  • P&L ownership at the regional level is a resume-defining credential that opens doors to VP Operations, COO, and broader GM roles.
  • The matrixed, influence-based leadership model is increasingly common in modern healthcare and tech-enabled services — mastering it builds a highly transferable leadership skill set.
  • Luna appears to be a growth-stage company scaling a regionalized model, meaning high visibility to executive leadership (reports to the President) and real impact on company strategy.
  • Unlimited PTO and remote flexibility suggest a results-oriented culture rather than face-time-driven management.

Watch-outs:

  • Leading without direct authority in a matrixed org can be frustrating if functional teams are under-resourced or misaligned. Clarify how conflicts are resolved during the interview process.
  • The preferred PT/OT clinical background suggests niche domain expertise is valued — non-clinicians may face credibility challenges with therapist-facing teams.
  • "Comfortable navigating ambiguity" is a soft signal that processes and tooling may still be maturing.

Overall, this is a high-impact role for a seasoned healthcare operations leader ready to step into full business ownership at a scaling company.
