Career & Market Insight

Career Level & Market Positioning: Requiring 5–8 years of experience, this is a mid-to-senior level role. For the Philippine market, this experience band typically commands PHP 40,000–90,000/month ($700–$1,600 USD). The lack of a published salary is worth flagging — candidates should clarify compensation expectations early, especially given the seniority required.

Skills You'll Develop or Deepen:

  • Advanced After Effects and Premiere Pro production workflows at scale.
  • Educational and instructional video production — a growing, in-demand niche (e-learning, corporate training, AEC sector).
  • Cross-functional collaboration using modern tools: Frame.io, ClickUp, Slack — highly transferable to any remote production team.
  • Quality-control and production management across multiple concurrent projects.

Green Flags: Clear workflow structure (scripts, storyboards provided), established templates, and a daily team huddle suggest an organized production environment rather than a chaotic startup. The AEC (architecture/engineering/construction) content niche is a differentiator that can open doors to specialized technical video production roles.

Red Flags to Watch: No salary transparency is a concern at this experience level. Managing up to three concurrent videos with daily meetings could indicate a high-throughput workload — candidates should ask about revision cycle frequency and average project turnaround times during interviews.

Long-Term Value: Educational and technical motion design skills are increasingly sought after in corporate L&D, SaaS onboarding, and AEC visualization — all growing segments with strong freelance and full-time market demand.

Job Description

We're looking for a Motion Graphics / Video Editor to create complete educational and instructional videos using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. This role combines video editing, 2D motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling to turn scripts and storyboards into clear, engaging, and polished videos. You'll work with voiceovers, live-action footage, graphics, diagrams, and basic 3D elements while maintaining strong pacing, visual consistency, and technical quality. The role also involves managing multiple projects, handling revisions, organizing production files, and collaborating with a remote production team.

Responsibilities

  • Edit complete educational videos using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Combine voiceover, live-action footage, motion graphics, text, diagrams, and other visual assets into cohesive final videos.
  • Adapt 2D motion graphics using established templates and brand standards.
  • Synchronize animation, graphics, and visual transitions to recorded voiceover.
  • Work from completed scripts and storyboards to execute the intended visual direction.
  • Edit live-action footage and incorporate it smoothly into motion-graphics-based videos.
  • Maintain consistent pacing, timing, visual hierarchy, and spatial composition.
  • Apply feedback from the production team accurately and promptly.
  • Manage revisions and versioning for multiple videos simultaneously.
  • Export final deliverables according to established technical specifications.
  • Conduct quality-control reviews to identify visual errors, timing issues, missing assets, incorrect text, audio-sync problems, or other technical inconsistencies.
  • Create, edit, organize, and maintain graphic assets and project files.
  • Follow established file-naming, file-organization, and production workflows.
  • Upload and download large project files and video assets through Google Drive and other production platforms.
  • Collaborate with the team using Frame.io, Slack, Google Drive, and ClickUp.
  • Attend a daily production huddle at 9:30 a.m. Central Time and other project-review meetings as needed.
  • Manage deadlines and communicate proactively about progress, questions, or potential delays.
  • Stay current with relevant motion-design, animation, and video-editing tools and techniques.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, feedback-oriented remote team.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in motion graphics, video editing, animation, or a related field.
  • A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant motion-graphics and video-editing work.
  • Strong professional proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 2D motion graphics, animation, and visual design.
  • Strong keyframing, timing, transitions, pacing, and spatial-composition skills.
  • Experience editing live-action footage and integrating it with motion graphics.
  • Experience producing complete videos rather than only individual animation sequences.
  • Ability to interpret and execute completed scripts and storyboards.
  • Ability to work efficiently within established templates, visual styles, and brand guidelines.
  • Strong attention to visual and technical detail.
  • Ability to manage up to three videos at different stages of production simultaneously.
  • Ability to incorporate detailed feedback accurately and complete revisions promptly.
  • Strong organizational and file-management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote production team.
  • Reliable high-speed internet capable of uploading and downloading large video and project files.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with architectural, engineering, construction, or built-environment content.
  • Experience illustrating or animating buildings, floor plans, diagrams, objects, or technical processes.
  • Experience producing educational, instructional, or technical video content.
  • Experience working on videos approximately 10 minutes or longer.
  • Experience visualizing complex concepts through motion design.
  • Experience incorporating basic 3D objects into motion-graphics projects.
  • Experience working with Frame.io, Slack, Google Drive, and ClickUp.
  • Experience collaborating with art directors and distributed production teams.
