Career & Market Insight

Role Level & Compensation: At $70K–$80K annually, this Junior Brand Designer salary is roughly in line with US market rates for 1–2 years of experience, though it sits at the lower end in high cost-of-living cities like San Francisco or New York. The addition of equity compensation could meaningfully increase total comp depending on Peerspace's valuation trajectory.

Skills You'll Build: This role offers solid, practical experience across the full digital marketing design stack — email, paid social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest), OOH, and landing pages. Exposure to AI design tools (Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Flux) is explicitly encouraged, making this a forward-looking role in an evolving field. Figma proficiency and Adobe Creative Suite experience are highly transferable and in strong demand.

Green Flags:

  • Direct reporting line to a Director of Brand Marketing — good mentorship proximity for a junior designer.
  • Certified Great Place to Work™ with a remote-first culture suggests genuine investment in employee experience.
  • Encouragement to explore AI tools signals a progressive, not defensive, approach to design technology.
  • Wellness Fridays and flexible PTO point to a work-life balance-conscious culture.

Watch Points: The emphasis on "speed" and "execution" over creative ideation suggests this is a production-heavy role — excellent for building craft and throughput skills, but those seeking strategic or conceptual design experience may find it limiting early on. Growth into senior brand or creative strategy roles will depend on how much ownership expands over time.
