IFRS Accountant at Instructure - Grow in Global Finance in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Career Development Potential: This role sits at a valuable intersection — IFRS financial reporting for multi-entity international subsidiaries within a US-headquartered EdTech company. Exposure to consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and cross-border statutory compliance builds a rare and highly marketable skill set for accountants targeting multinational finance careers.
Compensation Context: No salary is disclosed, but for a Philippine-based CPA with 2–3 years of experience in a multinational shared-services environment, market rates typically range from PHP 40,000–70,000/month. Instructure's mention of competitive pay and an employee ownership program (equity participation) suggests total compensation above local baseline — a green flag.
Skills You'll Build:
- IFRS financial statement preparation — increasingly in demand globally as more countries adopt or align to IFRS.
- ERP proficiency (NetSuite/SAP) — highly transferable across industries.
- US GAAP familiarity — opens doors to Big Four and US-listed company roles.
- Audit coordination experience — essential for senior finance progression.
Culture Signals: Instructure is a growth-stage SaaS company (Canvas LMS), which typically means a leaner finance team where individual contributors get broader exposure than at large enterprises. The mention of process improvement initiatives suggests an evolving finance function — good for those who want to shape, not just execute.
Green Flags: Async-compatible culture, ownership program, tuition reimbursement, and mental health support. Watch for: No disclosed salary and the role is described as supporting multiple entities — workload during audit season may be demanding.
