Frontend Tech Lead Role - Vue.js, SSR & MarTech in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
A Dual-Track Role: Technical Leadership + Hands-On Engineering
This is a player-coach position — expect a meaningful split between coding/architecture and people management. That's a green flag for engineers who don't want to go fully into management and lose their technical edge. The Nuxt.js/SSR migration is a high-visibility, portfolio-worthy project that will sharpen skills increasingly demanded in the market.
Skills You'll Develop
- Large-scale frontend migration strategy (Vue → Nuxt.js/SSR) — highly marketable in 2024–2025
- Core Web Vitals and technical SEO at scale — critical for MarTech/E-commerce roles
- Engineering leadership: 1-on-1s, performance reviews, career development — essential for Principal/Director tracks
- Cross-functional stakeholder management in a high-traffic product environment
Compensation Context: No salary is disclosed, which is a mild red flag for transparency. For a Tech Lead with 8+ years in Europe, market benchmarks sit around €80k–€120k depending on country. The quarterly performance bonus adds upside, but candidates should negotiate clearly.
Culture Signals: Remote-first, sustainability focus, and a human-reviewed recruitment process (explicitly no AI screening) suggest a thoughtful, people-oriented culture. 28 days PTO is above the UK/EU statutory minimum — another green flag. The MarTech/betting domain means high-scale, fast-moving systems — rewarding for growth but potentially stressful.
