Enterprise Sales Director at Five9 | $264K+ OTE SaaS in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a high-ceiling, high-pressure individual contributor enterprise sales role at Five9, a publicly traded cloud contact center leader (NASDAQ: FIVN). With a base salary range of $106,800–$264,700 plus bonus, stock, and commission, total compensation for a quota-carrying enterprise AE could realistically reach $300K–$500K+ OTE — competitive with top-tier SaaS sales benchmarks in 2024.
Career development signals:
- You will own a full sales cycle end-to-end — excellent for building a well-rounded enterprise sales resume
- C-level selling experience in CCaaS/CRM is a highly transferable, in-demand skill as AI-driven CX transformation accelerates
- Exposure to Salesforce (SFDC) and Clari for forecasting adds operational credibility
- Channel partner ecosystem experience (SI, ISV, TSD) is a differentiating skill for future VP Sales or RVP roles
Green flags: Day-one full health coverage at 100% employee cost, 12-week parental leave, and ESPP signal a mature, employee-friendly public company. Five9's focus on the 200–1,000-seat enterprise segment is a well-defined, lucrative niche.
Red flags to consider: The wide base salary range ($106K–$264K) suggests significant variation based on experience — negotiate aggressively. Quota expectations in enterprise SaaS sales can be aggressive, and "self-generating leads" signals limited inbound support beyond BDR assistance.
Overall, this is a strong career move for an experienced enterprise SaaS seller looking to maximize earnings and deepen CCaaS expertise at a recognized brand.
