Benefits Operations Specialist - EOR Career Growth in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Pipeline role — strategic timing matters. This is an evergreen/future pipeline posting, not an active opening. Applying now means you could be contacted months later, so treat it as a long-game networking move rather than an immediate opportunity.
Compensation analysis: The $35,250–$89,250 USD range is intentionally wide due to Remote's geo-differential pay model. For an APAC-based Benefits Operations Specialist, the lower band likely applies to higher cost-of-living countries like Australia or Singapore, while mid-range applies to Southeast Asia markets. Industry benchmarks for similar HR/benefits ops roles at global SaaS companies typically sit at $45,000–$70,000 USD for mid-level contributors — putting this range in line with market.
Skills you'll build:
- International employee benefits administration across 90+ countries — a rare, high-demand specialization
- EOR/PEO service delivery experience, increasingly sought after as global hiring grows
- Proficiency in Zendesk, Notion, and benefits vendor platforms
- Process automation identification and SOP development
Green flags: Remote is a well-funded, high-growth HR-tech scaleup with genuine async culture, transparent compensation philosophy, internal mobility pathways, and a strong employer brand. The 4-stage interview process (including a Bar Raiser) signals hiring rigor and quality teammates.
Watch out for: The wide salary band means your offer depends heavily on negotiation and location — come prepared with market data for your specific country.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide — here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while hiring globally. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
At Remote, we foster internal mobility as a key element of our culture of employee growth and development, supported by a compensation philosophy that guarantees pay equity and fairness. Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.
