Career & Market Insight

This Technical Support I role at GoDaddy is an entry-to-mid-level position suited for professionals with 1+ year of support experience looking to build within a large, established tech company. It's a dual-track role blending customer communication with back-office operations (payouts, ID verification, transaction processing), which provides broader exposure than a typical Tier 1 support job.

Skills developed here are highly transferable:

  • Salesforce CRM proficiency — in demand across virtually every industry
  • Technical troubleshooting and escalation management
  • Financial transaction processing and compliance handling
  • Domain/DNS knowledge — a foundation for cloud and infrastructure careers

Compensation context: No salary is listed, but technical support roles in Bulgaria for international tech companies typically range from BGN 2,000–3,500/month (~€1,000–€1,800). GoDaddy's total rewards (equity, ESPP, bonuses) can meaningfully supplement base pay — worth clarifying in interviews.

Green flags: GoDaddy is a publicly traded, global company with structured career ladders in support (Support I → II → Senior → Specialist tracks). The role explicitly mentions growth opportunities, training programs, and shadowing — signals of a structured onboarding culture.

Watch-outs: The 7-day-a-week shift schedule with mandatory weekend availability can impact work-life balance. The role is reactive and process-driven at this level — those seeking immediate autonomy or strategic work should aim for a senior tier. Entry-level candidates should treat this as a 12–18 month stepping stone toward a Senior Support, Technical Account Manager, or Operations Specialist role.

Location Details: Remote – Bulgaria

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Schedule: Department hours from 10:30am EEST until 1:30am EEST, 7 days a week. Shifts will be within department hours, which includes weekend work. Flexibility is needed to cover shifts within department hours based on business needs.
