Career & Market Insight

This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing and data analytics, two of the highest-demand skill sets in the digital marketing landscape. Managing campaigns with budgets exceeding $1M/month is a significant responsibility that will make a strong line on any future resume.

Compensation context: No salary is listed, but US contractor rates for a User Acquisition Specialist at this budget level typically range from $70–120/hour or $120,000–160,000 annualized, depending on location and seniority. As a contractor, you'll forgo benefits but often command a rate premium. Verify whether this contract is corp-to-corp or 1099/self-employed, as this affects tax obligations significantly.

Skills you'll develop:

  • Cross-channel paid media mastery (Meta, TikTok, Google UAC, Apple Search Ads) — highly transferable and in-demand
  • Mobile attribution frameworks (AppsFlyer, incrementality testing) — a niche skill that commands premium salaries
  • A/B testing and experimental design at scale — valued in both growth and product roles
  • Large-budget ownership — critical for moving into Head of Acquisition or VP Growth roles

Culture signals: Picsart is a well-funded, VC-backed scale-up (SoftBank, Sequoia) at a growth stage — expect fast pace, iterative experimentation, and high ownership. The contractor structure suggests they need agile bandwidth rather than a permanent headcount addition, which can be a stepping stone to a full-time role or a strong portfolio piece.

Green flag: Exposure to a global top-20 downloaded app gives your UA experience immediate credibility at scale.

Please note that this is a Full-Time Contractor (12-month contract) – you'll have the flexibility to work remotely, with the option to join us in the office whenever you'd like!

Picsart is on a mission to empower the creator in everyone. We're seeking a User Acquisition Specialist (Contractor) with exceptional data analytical skills to drive our paid acquisition and targeting efforts. You'll be instrumental in testing, experimenting, analyzing, and optimizing our campaigns to accelerate growth.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Strategize & Execute: Launch, manage, and optimize user acquisition (UA) and retargeting campaigns across a diverse range of paid channels, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads, and Apple Search Ads, and more.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations to enhance ROI, subscriber rates, and overall growth.
  • Experiment & Learn: Design and implement rigorous testing strategies to uncover insights around creative performance, targeting effectiveness, tactical approaches, and channel efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Head of Acquisition to manage budget allocations and pacing to maximize impact.
  • Creative Collaboration: Partner with social, content, and creative teams to develop new concepts and iterate on winning creatives. Manage the creative pipeline and maintain a comprehensive UA creative repository.

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in performance marketing, ideally in a mobile-first or subscription-based business.
  • Experience with scaling paid campaigns with >$1M monthly budget responsibility.
  • Knowledge of key UA metrics (e.g., CTR, CR, CPI, ROAS, LTV) and familiarity with various attribution models and tracking methodologies (AppsFlyer experience is a plus).
  • Understanding of Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, TikTok and Facebook Ads, coupled with hands-on experience in media buying across various UA channels.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with strong project management, prioritization, and hands-on execution skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, superior problem-solving abilities, and an inherently analytical mindset.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams.

Good To Have

  • A strong background in data analytics and/or engineering is highly preferred, with demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and experimental design.

What We Seek and Value Most in Our Candidates
