Career & Market Insight

This is a mid-to-senior individual contributor role in wholesale sales, well-suited for someone with 5+ years of field sales experience in apparel, outdoor, or lifestyle brands who wants to combine commercial impact with mission-driven work.

Compensation context: Life is Good explicitly avoids publishing salary ranges and directs candidates to market-rate calculators. For a wholesale regional sales rep at a sub-300-person apparel company based in Boston, market data typically points to a range of $70,000–$95,000 base, often supplemented by commission or performance bonuses. This is competitive for the lifestyle brand segment, though below large sportswear or fashion companies.

Skills you'll develop:

  • Multi-channel B2B wholesale strategy across specialty retail, outdoor, and gift verticals
  • AI-assisted sales workflows — a differentiating and increasingly marketable skill
  • Territory P&L ownership and data-driven account planning
  • Seasonal sell-in and line review facilitation

Green flags: Mission-aligned brand with genuine values, human response guarantee for all applicants, explicit mention of AI tools integration, and encouragement of independent territory ownership signal a mature and trusting culture.

Potential considerations: Life is Good is a relatively small company (<300 employees), so upward mobility may be limited. The role is a classic field rep position — rewarding for relationship-builders, but advancement to sales leadership may require patience or a move to a larger organization.

You've often wondered how you ended up in sales. After all, you are a storyteller, a super-connector, and simply love building relationships. Maybe you stumbled into your current or past roles because you had a gift for winning others over. If you decide to apply, please tell us your story.
