Career & Market Insight

High-Impact, Senior-Level Role: This is a specialist leadership position targeting engineers with 5–10 years of hands-on problem-solving experience and mandatory Shainin Red X Journeyman or Master certification. It sits at the intersection of technical depth and organizational influence — a rare combination that commands premium compensation.

Compensation vs. Market: The $130,400–$163,000 base salary is competitive for a senior quality/reliability engineering expert at a Fortune 500-level manufacturer. Total compensation with incentives and benefits likely pushes well above $170,000. This aligns with Six Sigma Master Black Belt roles at large industrials.

Skills You'll Develop & Leverage:

  • Advanced Shainin Red X methodology — a niche, highly valued certification in manufacturing
  • Statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP) — in-demand across manufacturing, pharma, and aerospace
  • Executive stakeholder management and cross-plant leadership
  • Coaching and talent development at the organizational level

Culture Signals: TE Connectivity is a large, established global industrial company (~$16B revenue). Expect structured processes, governance frameworks, and formal reporting cadences rather than startup agility. The SET competency framework (Strategy, Execution, Talent) signals a management-track opportunity.

Green Flags: Clear business impact metrics (CoPQ reduction), coaching responsibilities that build leadership credentials, and strong benefits package. Watch for: The Shainin Red X certification is mandatory and relatively rare — ensure your credentials are current before applying.

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
