Technical CSM Role – Grow in Endpoint Security SaaS in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and customer relationship management — a high-demand combination in the SaaS/cybersecurity space. Customer Success Engineers with hands-on IT administration and patch management experience are consistently sought after as organizations scale their endpoint security programs.
Skills you'll develop:
- Deep expertise in patch management, endpoint security, and IT automation — all growing areas as ransomware and compliance requirements intensify
- Stakeholder management and technical advisory skills with Mid-Market and Enterprise clients
- Cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, and Support — excellent exposure for future roles in Solutions Architecture or Product Management
Compensation: No salary is listed, which is a mild yellow flag. Market rates for a Technical CSM in the US cybersecurity space typically range from $80,000–$120,000 annually, with senior or enterprise-focused roles reaching higher. Clarify total comp and any variable/bonus structure during interviews.
Culture signals: Action1 appears to be a growth-stage startup (lean, fast-paced language, broad role scope). This means high learning velocity and visibility, but potentially stretched resources. The mention of "non-stop professional growth" and promotion opportunities suggests an internal mobility culture.
Green flags: Fully remote, flexible hours, cybersecurity is a resilient sector. Watch for: undefined on-call expectations and the ambiguity around whether "pre-sales" experience listed under requirements reflects a post-sales role — worth clarifying scope in interviews.
