Career & Market Insight

This is a high-visibility senior finance role at a mission-driven B Corp in the ESG/sustainability tech space — a sector with strong tailwinds as regulatory and investor pressure on supply chain transparency grows globally. Reporting directly to the CFO offers rare executive exposure at this level.

Compensation context: At $160,000–$200,000 base plus bonus and stock options, this is competitive for a Senior Manager/Director of Finance in the US tech/SaaS market (Radford benchmarks for this level typically range $150K–$220K). The equity component (ISOs) adds upside if Worldly continues scaling toward an exit or IPO.

Skills developed in this role are in high demand:

  • SaaS financial modeling and FP&A at scale
  • ESG/impact reporting — a rapidly growing compliance need
  • Investor relations and board-level communication
  • M&A and acquisition analysis

Green flags: Remote-first culture, diverse 15+ country team, public benefit corporation structure signals values alignment, and a clear career ladder toward CFO. The preference for McKinsey/Bain/BCG or investment banking backgrounds signals analytical rigor in the team.

Watch for: The dual title (Senior Manager or Director) may indicate budget flexibility or uncertainty around the exact level — worth clarifying in interviews. Unlimited PTO policies require a strong culture of actually taking time off; probe this directly. The ESG space is competitive and evolving rapidly, so staying current on regulatory changes (CSRD, SEC climate rules) will be essential.
