Senior 2D Artist iGaming Role - Playson Career in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Career Development in iGaming Art
This role sits squarely at the senior level within Playson, a well-established iGaming studio. With 5+ years of slots-industry experience required, this is not an entry point — it's a position for someone ready to own creative processes and influence product direction. The emphasis on product thinking beyond visual execution is a strong signal that Playson values artists who understand business impact, which is a differentiating skill in the market.
Skills & Market Demand
- Senior 2D art skills tailored to slot game production are highly specialized and in consistent demand across iGaming studios worldwide.
- Experience preparing assets for animation pipelines adds cross-functional value and bridges into motion design or technical art roles.
- 3D experience as a bonus suggests a path toward hybrid 2D/3D roles, which command premium rates.
Compensation & Work-Life Balance
No salary is disclosed, which is a minor red flag for transparency — though the quarterly bonus system and unlimited PTO are strong compensatory signals. For context, senior 2D artists in iGaming typically earn €40,000–75,000 annually in European markets depending on location and seniority. The unlimited sick and vacation leave policies suggest a mature, employee-friendly culture.
Green Flags
- Access to an internal art community for peer learning and inspiration.
- Reimbursed professional development keeps your skillset current.
