Career & Market Insight

This Sales Operations Specialist role at Race Communications sits at the intersection of outbound sales execution and data-driven campaign management — a skill set with strong market demand across SaaS, telecom, and e-commerce sectors.

Compensation: At $24–$26/hr (~$50K–$54K annually), the pay is on the lower end of the market for sales ops roles in California, where similar positions often range from $55K–$75K. However, the company-paid medical and dental benefits add real value, and 401(k) with 4% match is solid for this level.

Career development signals:

  • Hands-on exposure to full-cycle campaign management (upsell, win-back, churn prevention) is highly transferable to revenue operations (RevOps) roles
  • CRM proficiency (likely Salesforce or HubSpot) and Jira dashboard management are in-demand, resume-building skills
  • KPI ownership at this level is unusually strong for an early-career role — great for building an analytical track record

Culture & growth: Race positions itself as a close-knit, community-oriented company that values internal promotion. For someone earlier in their sales or operations career, this could be a good environment to develop without being lost in a large enterprise.

Green flags: Broad cross-functional exposure (sales, marketing, CX); KPI ownership; real operational responsibilities like commission backup support.

Watch out for: The compensation ceiling may be limiting for experienced professionals. This role appears to be an individual contributor position with no mention of team leadership or management track — evaluate whether growth pathways are concrete or aspirational.

Location: Remote — California Only

Location Status: Work will be primarily performed remotely from a home office 5 days per week. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or off-site locations may be required.

Compensation: $24–$26 USD per hour

Benefits Highlights: Company-Paid Medical and Dental | Free Fiber Internet Service
