Revenue Ops Analyst at Popmenu | Salesforce & AI Skills in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is a strong mid-level revenue operations role at a venture-backed SaaS company in the restaurant tech vertical — a growing and competitive niche. The $80,000–$90,000 base sits slightly below median for Revenue Operations Analysts in major US markets (typically $90,000–$110,000), but the 10% annual bonus and equity for all employees can close that gap meaningfully, especially at a scaling startup.
Skills you'll develop and sharpen:
- Advanced Salesforce data architecture (hierarchies, deduplication, validation rules)
- AI-assisted data workflows using Clay, ChatGPT, and Claude — highly in-demand and future-proof skills
- Technographic data sourcing and vendor management (ZoomInfo, Restaurantology)
- CRM hygiene strategy and documentation — transferable to any B2B SaaS company
Career trajectory: This role builds directly toward Senior Revenue Operations Manager, Sales Operations Director, or GTM Data Lead positions. The AI automation component is particularly valuable as a differentiator on your resume in 2024–2025.
Green flags: Clear 30/90/180-day success milestones signal a well-structured onboarding; documentation emphasis suggests a mature ops culture. Quarterly peer recognition and charitable giving indicate values-driven culture.
Watch for: The role is narrowly scoped around data hygiene — growth into broader RevOps strategy (pricing, territory design, forecasting) may require proactive advocacy. Confirm headcount plans and whether a RevOps team exists beyond this hire.
About the Role
Popmenu helps restaurants grow with a full digital platform: website, online ordering, marketing, and AI-powered guest engagement. Our Sales and Marketing teams depend on CRM data to find the right restaurants, reach the right decision-makers, and have relevant conversations. We are hiring a detail-obsessed Revenue Operations Analyst to own the accuracy, completeness, and intelligence of that data.
You will clean and standardize tens of thousands of restaurant accounts and contacts, and enrich them with insight our reps can act on: who owns the restaurant, which ordering and POS platforms it runs, how many locations it has. You will not do it one record at a time — you will use enrichment platforms, automation, and AI tools to clean, research, and enrich data at scale, then build the processes that keep it clean.
If you like turning data into a reliable sales asset and finding smarter ways to do it, this is the job.
What You'll Do
- Clean up the CRM. Audit, enhance, merge, and standardize account and contact records in Salesforce. Fix names, titles, roles, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and account hierarchies across single-location, multi-unit, and franchise groups.
- Automate the work with AI. Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Clay research agents, plus automation platforms, to standardize titles, normalize records, sort contacts into buying roles, and research restaurant websites at scale. Build repeatable workflows instead of one-off fixes, and check the output so accuracy stays high.
- Verify contacts and roles. Confirm who the owners, operators, GMs, and marketing leads are. Retire stale contacts and map buying roles so reps reach the right person.
- Research restaurant technology. Identify the online ordering, POS, reservation, website, and delivery platforms each restaurant runs — for example Toast, Square, Olo, ChowNow, BentoBox, or DoorDash Storefront. Use a mix of automated website research, technographic data, and manual checks, and capture the results in structured CRM fields that drive targeting and competitive plays.
- Manage data providers. Run and optimize enrichment and technographic tools such as ZoomInfo and Restaurantology. Own field mapping, sync rules, match rates, and credit usage, and evaluate how accurate each vendor actually is.
- Build processes that keep data clean. Define data standards, required fields, validation rules, and naming conventions. Set up recurring hygiene routines and dedupe automation, and give reps a clear way to flag bad data.
- Measure and report on data health. Build dashboards that track completeness, accuracy, duplicate rates, and enrichment coverage, and show progress to Sales and Marketing leadership.
- Support go-to-market work. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Sales Ops on territory alignment, list builds, segmentation, and campaign targeting — all running on trusted data.
- Document everything. Keep a data dictionary and clear playbooks so these standards outlast any one person.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: audit
- Complete a full audit of contact and firmographic data across the CRM, covering completeness, accuracy, duplicates, stale contacts, and gaps in key fields such as location count, cuisine and segment, ownership group, and ordering or POS platform.
- Deliver a baseline data-health scorecard and a prioritized remediation plan by segment.
By 90 days: acquire and enrich
- Assess current data sources, including ZoomInfo and Restaurantology, for coverage and accuracy in target segments, and recommend where to add, cut, or renegotiate.
- Fill priority contact and firmographic gaps through vendor enrichment, AI-assisted website research, and targeted manual checks.
- Set up field mapping and sync rules so enriched data lands cleanly and does not overwrite good data.
By 6 months: clean, verify and merge
- Own a repeatable process for cleaning, verifying, and merging records: dedupe rules, merge logic for multi-location and franchise hierarchies, email and phone verification, and contact role confirmation.
- Measurably reduce duplicate rates, bounce rates, and records missing key fields.
- Accurately capture ordering platform and core firmographics for target accounts.
Ongoing: keep it clean
- Run the hygiene routines, validation rules, and automation that stop bad data at the point of entry.
- Report on data health monthly to Sales and Marketing leadership.
- The result: reps trust the CRM and spend their time selling, not researching.
Requirements
Non-Negotiables
- 2 to 4 years in revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations, or CRM data management.
- 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including data imports and mass updates with Data Loader or Data Import Wizard, duplicate and matching rules, merging accounts and contacts, validation rules, account hierarchies, and building reports and dashboards.
- Experience with B2B data and enrichment platforms such as ZoomInfo, Apollo, or Clay, including setting up how they sync to Salesforce.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to clean, classify, or enrich data.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills: XLOOKUP, pivots, cleanup formulas.
- Workflow and automation experience with Clay, Zapier, Make, or similar.
- An investigative mindset and obsessive attention to detail, with the judgment to automate a task once it starts repeating.
Nice to Have

- Salesforce dedupe and data quality tools such as DemandTools, Cloudingo, or RingLead
- Restaurant, hospitality, or restaurant-tech experience
- Familiarity with Restaurantology or other technographic data sources
