Junior Cybersecurity Instructor Role at BeyondTrust in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This is an entry-level instructional role deliberately structured as a stepping stone — BeyondTrust explicitly frames it as a pipeline from Associate Instructor → Instructor → Senior Instructor. That clarity of career ladder is a green flag for early-career professionals who want structured progression rather than ambiguous growth promises.
Skills developed here are increasingly in demand:
- Technical training delivery in SaaS/cybersecurity — a niche with growing market demand as companies invest in customer education and enablement.
- Familiarity with identity security and privileged access management (PAM) — BeyondTrust is a recognized leader in this space, giving your resume strong market signaling.
- Instructional design exposure and LMS platform fluency.
- Stakeholder communication across customers, partners, and internal teams.
For a 0–2 year experience role at a Fortune 100-serving cybersecurity firm, this is a solid brand to have on a resume. Market context: junior instructional/enablement roles at SaaS companies in Canada typically range CAD $50,000–$65,000 annually — no salary is disclosed here, which is a minor red flag worth clarifying at interview.
Culture signals suggest a mid-to-large, established SaaS company (20,000 customers, 75 Fortune 100 clients) with a learning-oriented, mentorship-driven team. The emphasis on coaching, shadowing, and incremental responsibility suggests a supportive onboarding environment — well-suited for recent graduates pivoting into tech education.
