Career & Market Insight

This Events Manager role at Doximity sits at a compelling intersection of healthcare, technology, and experiential marketing — a niche skillset that commands growing demand as health-tech companies compete aggressively for clinician mindshare.

Compensation: The $85K–$119K range is roughly in line with mid-to-senior event manager salaries at tech companies, though slightly below top-of-market for enterprise SaaS event managers in major U.S. metros (where $120K–$145K is more common). The equity component could add meaningful upside given Doximity's public company status (NYSE: DOCS).

Skills you'll develop:

  • End-to-end event ownership for executive and advisory board formats — highly transferable to other B2B tech companies
  • Healthcare industry fluency (physicians, health systems, clinical workflows) — a differentiating credential
  • Virtual event production and trade show management — in-demand post-pandemic
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management with C-suite and medical leaders

Green flags: Doximity is a profitable, publicly traded company with strong market share — lower risk than an early-stage startup. The twice-yearly Medical Advisory Summit ownership gives you flagship event credentials quickly.

Watch for: Event management roles can carry high burnout risk due to intense execution periods. Clarify the team size and support structure during interviews. The "support" wording on the summit ownership bullet was slightly ambiguous — confirm your actual level of autonomy. Overall, a strong role for someone building a healthcare event management career.
