Career & Market Insight

This is a senior-level, high-specialization role sitting at the intersection of federal government consulting, enterprise data governance, and cloud architecture — a niche that commands premium compensation and career durability.

Compensation context: The $128k–$160k base (plus commission and equity) is competitive but on the lower end for senior federal solution architects in the D.C. area, where comparable roles at system integrators (Booz Allen, Leidos, Accenture Federal) often reach $170k–$200k+ for TS-SCI clearance holders. The commission upside may close the gap.

Skills you'll develop:

  • Deep expertise in data governance platforms (Collibra specifically), which is one of the market-leading tools in a rapidly growing MDM/data catalog space
  • Federal compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, FISMA, GovCloud — highly transferable to any public sector tech role
  • Cloud architecture (AWS/Azure + Kubernetes) in a government context, increasingly in demand as agencies modernize
  • Executive stakeholder engagement and professional services delivery — strong consulting career accelerators

Green flags: Collibra is a well-funded, established data intelligence platform with a clear public sector growth strategy. The structured 30/60/90-day onboarding plan signals a mature organization. Commission eligibility on a PS role adds meaningful upside.

Red flags: Up to 25% on-site and D.C. preference limit flexibility. The clearance requirement significantly narrows the candidate pool — verify your clearance is current before applying, as reinstatement can take months.
