Retention Analyst Role at Capgemini - Insurance Analytics in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
This Customer Retention Analyst role at Capgemini, serving a top-5 U.S. P&C insurer, sits at an interesting intersection of data analytics, product strategy, and insurance domain expertise — a combination that is increasingly in demand.
Compensation: No salary is disclosed, but mid-level analytics roles at multinational BPO/consulting firms in Mexico typically range from MXN $35,000–$65,000/month depending on experience. Capgemini's reputation and the client's scale suggest competitive local-market pay plus the performance bonus is a meaningful upside.
Skills developed:
- Insurance-specific analytics (P&C, retention modeling) — a niche that commands premium pay globally
- Power BI and data storytelling — consistently among the top 5 most in-demand data skills
- Agile product management and roadmapping — transferable to product analyst or PM career tracks
- U.S. insurance market knowledge — valuable for roles at insurtech firms worldwide
Green flags: Capgemini is a Fortune 500-scale employer with structured L&D, real career ladders, and global mobility. The client-facing nature of this role builds cross-cultural communication skills (English fluency required), which accelerates career growth.
Watch for: Consulting/BPO environments can mean high workloads during client deliverable cycles, and retention analytics roles can sometimes feel siloed. Candidates should clarify the team size and growth path into senior analyst or product manager roles during interviews. The requirement for both retention analytics AND product strategy/roadmapping competencies suggests a broad scope — ideal for generalists, but potentially stretched thin.
