Career & Market Insight

This is a senior-level individual contributor / architect role at Gainwell Technologies, a healthcare IT firm serving Medicaid and government health programs. The title "Advisor" signals a step below principal/fellow but above mid-level — think 8–12 years of career experience equivalent.

Compensation context: The $95K–$136K range is competitive for a ServiceNow architect in mid-tier U.S. markets but slightly below top-of-market in major tech hubs (San Francisco, New York), where equivalent roles often command $140K–$175K. For healthcare IT or government-adjacent sectors, this is solidly market-rate.

Skills developed in this role are in high demand:

  • ServiceNow architecture and CMDB governance — consistently top-ranked in ITSM job demand
  • Enterprise integrations (REST/SOAP, LDAP) — transferable across industries
  • ITOM/GRC/SecOps modules — niche expertise that commands premium salaries
  • Data governance and information architecture — increasingly critical in regulated industries

Culture signals: Gainwell presents as a mid-to-large enterprise (spun out of DXC Technology in 2021) with structured processes — design authority meetings, release management governance, formal ITSM frameworks. Expect process-heavy, compliance-conscious culture rather than a startup environment.

Green flags: Fully remote, certification support, defined development academies, flexible PTO, 401(k) match, long application window (through Sept 2026) suggesting steady hiring rather than urgent backfill.

Watch for: The role's breadth (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SAM, HAM, SecOps, GRC, CSM) is ambitious — confirm team size and support structure during the interview to avoid a one-person-army situation.

Be part of a team that unleashes the power of leading-edge technologies to help improve the health and well-being of those most vulnerable in our country and communities. Working at Gainwell carries its rewards. You'll have an incredible opportunity to grow your career in a company that values work flexibility, learning, and career development. You'll add to your technical credentials and certifications while enjoying a generous, flexible vacation policy and educational assistance. We also have comprehensive leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilities.
