Executive Assistant to CEO at Supabase - Grow Fast in Columbus
Career & Market Insight
Career Positioning: High-Visibility EA Role at a Hypergrowth Startup
Supporting a CEO at a company that has raised $500M and is scaling past 280 team members across 55 countries is a rare opportunity. This isn't a traditional EA role — it's a front-row seat to executive decision-making, investor relations, and global company operations at a critical growth stage.
Skills you'll build and deepen:
- Executive-level stakeholder management and strategic communication
- Async collaboration and remote-first operational frameworks
- AI-augmented productivity workflows (Notion, Slack, Google Workspace)
- International travel coordination and cross-cultural communication
- Board and investor meeting preparation — valuable for future Chief of Staff ambitions
Compensation note: No salary is listed, which is a mild yellow flag. EA compensation at a well-funded startup of this caliber typically ranges from $60K–$120K+ USD depending on region, with ESOP adding meaningful upside. Push for clarity on both figures during the intro call.
Green flags: Born-remote culture, genuine async trust, equity for all staff, strong funding, and a clear hiring process. These signal a mature, respectful employer.
Career trajectory: Top EAs at funded startups often move into Chief of Staff, Operations Manager, or People roles. Given Supabase's trajectory, this role could be a launchpad for significant career acceleration in the developer tooling or SaaS space.

About the Role
We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO as Supabase continues to scale globally. This person will be a trusted partner to the CEO, helping manage time, communication, priorities, travel, follow-through, and key operating rhythms across a fast-moving, remote-first company.
This role must be based in an APJ / APAC timezone to provide strong timezone coverage for our CEO and leadership team. You'll work closely with founders, executives, internal stakeholders, investors, and external partners, ensuring the CEO is prepared, focused, and able to spend time on the highest-impact work.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments, has strong judgment, and is excited about supporting a developer-focused company building tools that scale to millions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Own the CEO's calendar management, prioritization, and day-to-day operating rhythm.
- Manage inbox triage and communications by monitoring emails, drafting responses, and keeping communication flowing across internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare briefings, agendas, decks, notes, and follow-up materials so the CEO is ready for every meeting.
- Track follow-ups, decisions, and commitments to help projects move forward and keep stakeholders accountable.
- Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel, logistics, scheduling changes, and last-minute adjustments.
- Support investor meetings, board-related preparation, executive meetings, offsites, and company-wide moments.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with absolute discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Anticipate needs, identify blockers early, and solve problems proactively before they escalate.
- Partner across the company to create clarity, improve coordination, and help leadership operate effectively in a global, remote-first environment.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Have experience supporting a CEO, founder, or senior executive in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Are based in an APJ / APAC timezone and can provide strong coverage for a globally distributed leadership team.
- Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Have experience working in async, remote-first, or globally distributed teams.
- Are tech savvy and comfortable using tools like Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI-enabled workflows.
- Bring strong judgment around prioritization, confidentiality, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
- Are energized by organized chaos, fast-moving priorities, and solving problems before they become blockers.
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly, and staying several steps ahead.
