Career & Market Insight

Career Trajectory: Enterprise Agile Coach is a senior-level, high-impact role. With 3+ years of coaching experience required, this is not entry-level — it sits between a practitioner Scrum Master and an executive transformation consultant. It positions you well for roles like Head of Agile Practice, Director of Delivery, or independent consulting.

Skills in High Demand: Agile coaching, SAFe, and organizational change management are consistently among the top-paying IT consulting skills. Building a portfolio of enterprise transformations at a consulting firm (vs. in-house) accelerates your market value significantly because you gain exposure to multiple industries and org sizes.

Compensation Reality: No salary is listed, but the market rate for Enterprise Agile Coaches in the US ranges from $110,000–$160,000+ annually, with consulting firm roles sometimes adding performance bonuses. "Very competitive compensation plans" is vague — push for specifics in interviews.

Green Flags:

  • Employee ownership (ESOP) is a strong long-term wealth-building perk uncommon at smaller firms
  • Unlimited PTO and paid certifications signal genuine investment in staff
  • Cross-client exposure at a growing Agile consultancy builds a diversified skill set fast

Yellow Flags:

  • No relocation assistance may limit the talent pool, suggesting budget constraints
  • No explicit mention of team size or number of clients — ask about workload expectations
  • "Other duties as assigned" combined with filling Scrum Master roles suggests potential for scope creep

Culture Signal: ClearlyAgile is a growing boutique consultancy — expect a startup-adjacent culture with high ownership, visible impact, and direct access to leadership, but less process structure than enterprise employers.
